SmartLease Terms and Conditions

By placing a SmartLease order you confirm that you have read and agree to the following. These terms are written in plain English. For the full legal text, see the SmartLease Master Agreement.
1. Who can use SmartLease
You must be a current employee of a company that is registered with InnovRent. Sign in using your work email. If your employer is not yet registered, ask your HR team to enable SmartLease.
2. What you are agreeing to
This is an operating lease, not a purchase. InnovRent owns the device during the lease. You get to use it, and your employer deducts the monthly rental from your salary.
3. Lease term
Choose 6 months or 10 months at the time of order. The plan is fixed once InnovRent confirms the order. Mid-term plan changes are not supported.
4. When salary deductions begin
Deductions happen at the end of each month. If you place your order before the 20th of a month, your first deduction is at the end of that same month. If you place your order on or after the 20th, your first deduction begins at the end of the following month. Deductions then continue end-of-month for the full lease term you selected.
5. Pricing is confirmed by InnovRent
The monthly rental and savings shown to you at order time are indicative. InnovRent will verify the device, price, and tax saving, and confirm the final pricing by email. The numbers shown in your portal are marked tentative until that confirmation arrives.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel your order at no cost before the device is shipped. Once the device leaves the warehouse, the order cannot be cancelled and your monthly deductions will begin per the schedule above.
7. Delivery
Devices typically arrive a few working days after your HR has approved the order. We will keep you updated by email at each stage.
8. Insurance is included
Every SmartLease device is covered by insurance against theft and accidental damage at no extra cost to you. If your device is lost, stolen, or damaged, report it to InnovRent at hello@innovrent.com within 5 working days. Late notification may affect your claim.
9. Manufacturer warranty
Manufacturer (OEM) warranty stays in your name. For warranty service, please deal directly with the manufacturer or their authorised service centre. InnovRent is happy to help if you get stuck.
10. End of lease, your choice
- Buy the device at its residual value (this is small and shown to you in advance)
- Return the device in working condition with all accessories
- Upgrade to a new device under a fresh lease
11. If you leave the company during the lease
If you separate from your employer while a lease is still active, you have 7 days to settle the lease through a buyout at the then-current residual value plus any pending rentals. Your employer and InnovRent will guide you through the process.
12. Your data and privacy
We collect only what we need to run your lease (name, work email, contact details, address, order details). We do not sell your data. We process it in line with Indian privacy law, including the DPDP Act 2023. You can email hello@innovrent.com to request a copy or deletion of your data, subject to record-keeping requirements.
13. Support
For any question about your order, deductions, device, or this agreement, write to us at hello@innovrent.com. We aim to reply on the same working day.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Gurugram, Haryana.
